Energy Savings - Energy at Home

The Bath & North East Somerset Energy at Home Advice Service is now live!

B&NES Council has been working with local partners to set up a local energy efficiency scheme for local residents and businesses. The B&NES Energy@ Home Advice Service for the scheme is now in place and ready to take calls and emails to provide a response tailored to individual needs.

The Advice Service aims to help residents make their homes warm and efficient by providing help and support through the process.

Residents can get free, impartial advice on any aspect of home energy efficiency including:

  * how to use less energy
  * getting out of fuel debt
  * how to keep warm during cold weather
  * which energy efficiency measures / renewable energy technologies are appropriate for their home
  * what grants, special offers, and finance packages are available
If appropriate, they can be booked in for a home energy assessment. This will provide a report showing the suitable measures for that particular home, and which grants, special offers and other payment options they are eligible for. Support is then offered to find the right installer and to access the grants and finance. Once the measures are installed the Advice Service will check back to make sure the resident is happy with the work.

Please use this new service when referring people for home energy advice.
