Resurfacing in Kingsway - Ambleside Road, Canons Close, and Georgian View

This is the formal notice for re-surfacing in parts of  Kingsway

Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to vehicles and suspend parking for the entire length of:

  • Ambleside Road, Canons Close, and Georgian View, Southdown.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads consequent upon a micro-asphalt carriageway resurfacing treatment and will be operative from the 1st September 2012 for a maximum period of four months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the roads will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for approximately 12 hours on any one day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE – local diversions will be signed as appropriate

We will be pushing for the other roads to be re-surfaced, Edgeworth Road and Kingsfield. Marsden Road is postponed until next year.
