Please find below a summary of how bus services will be affected during road resurfacing works on the Wellsway A367 at Odd Down in Bath during the week commencing 21st March. The road closure will be in place from 7pm until approximatley 6am the following morning.

Whilst the closure is in place buses will not service the stops at Mendip Gardens, Oolite Grove and The Beeches in Odd Down.

Apart from these stops, bus services will only be significantly effected on Monday evening

41 Odd Down Park & Ride service

On Monday 21st March, the service will run at its scheduled times until 7pm. After 7pm the service will run every 30 minutes, leaving the city centre at 1900, 1930, 2000 and 2030.

178 Service

On Monday 21st March the following services will be severely diverted:

2115 from Bath (Wessex Connect)

2215 from Bath (Wessex Connect)

2305 from Bath (Wessex Connect)

2020 from Bristol (Wessex Connect)

2213 from Paulton (Wessex Connect)

2351 from Midsomer Norton (First)

These services will not be able to serve stops between Bath Bus Station and Radstock Victoria Hall (missing stops at Peasedown St John, Dunkerton and Odd Down).

From Bath, the service will divert via the A4, A39 and A37, picking up it's regular route at Radstock Victoria Hall.

For services heading in the opposite direction (towards Bath) the service will run direct to Bath from Radstock, Victoria Hall - via the A37, A39 and A4.

179 Service

On Monday 21st March the following trips will be effected:

2105 and 2300 from Bath

2203 from Midsomer Norton



To/From Bath via A39/A4

To/From

Midsomer Norton


Whilst the road closure is in place, these services will divert as shown on the map and will not serve all of its usual stops in Farmborough, Timsbury, Meadgate and Tunley.

Passengers in Farmborough should catch this service from the Butchers Arms.

Please note: buses heading towards Bath will serve the stop with the Green shelter; buses heading towards Midsomer Norton will serve the stop with the brick shelter.

Passengers in Timsbury should catch this service from the stops opposite the sports field on Bloomfield Road (the road heading towards Farmborough).

Please Note: buses heading towards Bath will serve the stop with the green shelter; buses heading towards Midsomer Norton will serve the stop on the same side as the cricket pitch.

Whilst the road closure is in place, the 179 service will not serve any of its usual stops between Timsbury and Bath City Centre.
