Save our youth service

There is little left, we have seen the affect in Odd Down

What:
Bath & North East Somerset Council is planning to cut its youth service again in the forthcoming budget process. Current plans would see the closure of another youth centre in the authority. Young people, activists, and opponents will be gathering outside the Guildhall Bath to protest against the plans before a meeting of the Council's Overview and Scrutiny Panel for Childrens' Services.

The meeting will be receiving a report on the current consultation amongst youth service staff about the future of the service.

The protest is being organised by members of Democratic Action for B&NES Youth (DAFBY), Stefan Di Finizio (the current Member of the Youth Parliament for B&NES) with support from Cllr Nathan Hartley (Shadow Cabinet Member for Childrens' Services and DAFBY co-founder in the year 2000).

When: Monday 20th September, 5.00pm, Guildhall, Bath
